Twestion Time: Liffey ‘Desert island’ artist Fergal McCarthy

EVER WANT TO take yourself off to a desert island? Sure, says you – but a desert island in the middle of the Liffey? Not so much in these chill winds.

It hasn’t deterred Fergal McCarthy from his piece of installation/performance art No Man’s Land in which he is living on a manmade island in the middle of the capital’s main waterway as part of the ABSOLUT Fringe Festival 2011. You can see the photos of the project here.

He might be living on his own for ten days – but he does have access to a solar-powered smartphone. (He’s even blogging on his own website here).
