Is there a link between the H1N1 vaccine and miscarriages?
Question by Eskimo: Is there a link between the H1N1 vaccine and miscarriages?
I just found out I am pregnant and I am plotting on getting the H1N1 vaccine at my next O/B appointment. I recently heard about woman in their first trimester miscarrying after getting the H1N1 vaccine. Does anyone have any first hand experience with getting the vaccine during their first trimester?

Its always possible to react terribly to a vaccine.
This is the one and only time I’ve head of a miscarriage due to this vaccine.
I was at my doctor’s office today and the nurse briefly questioned me if I was interested in getting either seasonal or H1N1 flu shot and I said NO!. She didn’t push it, and my doctor didn’t even mention it.
Also, my pediatrician told me this vaccine isn’t necessary. She literally gave me a thumbs down and blew a raspberry when I questioned her about it!
Its blown way out of proportion.
People die and get sick from regular flu just as terribly.
Its really each individual immune system that responds differently to the flu.
I’m not discouraging you from it, I just want to let you know that even if you get the flu, you’ll get treated for it.
Also keep in mind that the flu shot wont prevent you from getting the H1N1. You still might get it.
I hope you don’t though because flu is a bltch.
