Vaccinations protect the body against common infectious diseases. They are used to prevent disease, decrease the severity of disease and decrease death. Most immunizations are given during the developmental years but there are some immunizations that are given to adults, especially older adults. Vital vaccinations in older adults include the influenza vaccine, pneumococcal vaccine, tetanus/diphtheria vaccine and the shingles vaccine.

Who is planning to get the h1n1 vaccine for themselves & their child?
Question by MiSSLiNDABABiE: Who is plotting to get the h1n1 vaccine for themselves & their child?
I am worried of catching the swine flu but, also worried to get the new h1n1 vaccine. After watching Desiree Jennings tale online and reading/watching the news about horrible things going incorrect after people have gotten the vaccine…I am certainly paranoid. I have a 8 month ancient small girl and would want to protect her in every way possible but, I don’t want her/me or my husband to get the vaccine until I know it is 100% safe. Absolutely 100% safe. Does anyone else feel the same way I do?
